Group Psychotherapy
I co-facilitate psychotherapy groups for young adults and adults as a supplemental part of an individual’s psychotherapy, when appropriate. It can be helpful for you to gain support and learn from peers when addressing issues related to depression, anxiety and adjustment issues. In addition, group psychotherapy is a great place to explore how you may get triggered and reactive in social or professional situations.
Some of the issues that clients typically work through in a psychotherapy group include acceptance, trust, assertiveness, vulnerability, and/or defensiveness. Ideally, you will be able to apply what you learn and experience in group sessions in the “real world” to enhance your interpersonal relationships. Groups are small (8 or less people) and co-ed.
